Fresh pop beats will get you up and dancing to the new single fromKatanak ‘Take Us Back’
“It is a super catchy song and the music video is very creative and fun to watch. This guy is a real up and comer with an incredible talent. We are keeping an eye on him and expect big things in the near future.”‘Astronomy’Wade, Never Enough Music
Building on the success of ‘Astronomy’, Katanak wrote and produced the high energy ‘Take Us Back’ and accompanying film clip as a tribute to the freedom of childhood. Taking his influence from The 1975, Circa Waves & The Wombats, Katanak produced this synth pop / indie rock tune that easily crosses genres and will worm it’s way into your brain.
Take us back to when we were kidsWe didn’t know how good we had it
‘Take Us Back’ was recorded in Katanak’s home studio where he played, produced and recorded all the instruments including drums, which were tracked separately with Hugh Middleton (Out With The In) in his studio space. A mixing session with Hugh Middleton and mastering by Simon Francis has created an alt pop tune which will get you up off the couch and dancing in the living room.Fresh indie (Out With The In) in his studio space. “It has provided an amazing opportunity and I learnt so much working with Karl Bouro and AaronIselin from Torn Parachute to turn my vision for ‘Take Us Back’ into reality,” Dylan said. Thisprocess of having the video clip released first with the song following later, is the reversal of howmusic is usually released but it’s working really well because people are finding my music via theclip and then heading over to their preferred music platform.
‘Take Us Back’ is about having fun with my mates when we were kids and the film clip hascaptured the great energy of those carefree times.
